From the Chairman...November 2004
Congratulations to all who came to the 2004 Grand Prix at
Uralla. After a somewhat nervous Friday when the rain was coming down, it fined
up Saturday morning to turn out to be terrific dog agility weather much to the
relief of all. The sportsmanship displayed throughout the weekend was terrific
and a credit to all. We saw some great runs and some great times were had by all
and once again many thanks to all those that chipped in and helped out to make
it a successful weekend. I am sure you will agree the prize table was fantastic.
It is always fun to meet up with members from further afield. Planning is
already under way for next year and the addition of more rings looks certain.
The appointment of the next chairman will happen at the Board meeting later this
month. So stay tuned for that.
As the temperature starts to increase please keep an eye on your dogs and watch
for signs of heat stress – safety is the most important thing.
There are only a few more competitions for the year and I know for me the
Christmas break means working bee time. Please check your equipment and make
sure it is within the regulation guidelines and that it is still strong and
secure with plenty of grit on your contacts, ongoing maintenance is essential to
make sure we have safe equipment for all of our dogs.
Thanks again for your support over the last three years and I will see you
around the traps,
Natalie Kirkwood
